To prepare a handprint and a footprint which exhibit no change with time and have sense of quality and whose contours are clear visually and formatively and which give visual freshness and unexpectedness.

A mask 56 with a through-hole 56a corresponding to a handprint is bonded on a porcelain plate 57 with the second layer (glaze face) with white color and the first layer (a porcelain layer) with skin color. A blasting process wherein an abrasive material is blasted on the second layer 57a above the mask 56 is performed to grind a part corresponding to the through-hole 56a in the second layer 57a with white color to expose the first layer 57b with skin color and then, the mask 56 is peeled off from the porcelain plate 57. A handprint 58a with skin color and a white back 58b made of the porcelain plate 57 is formed thereby.
