Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the diametral accuracy of a honeycomb by measuring the cumulative angle of windings and the cumulatively used amount of windings at a specified point of time halfway through the winding, then calculating a required target cumulative angle of windings based on the measurement value, and cutting a flat plate and a corrugated plate at a specified position, in a method for preparing the honeycomb which is obtained by winding the flat plate and the corrugated plate stacked.
CONSTITUTION: In a method for preparing a honeycomb by winding a flat plate 1 and a corrugated plate stacked into a roll, an angle measurement device 4 for measuring the cumulative angle of windings of the flat plate 1 or the corrugated plate 2, and a used amount measurement device 5 for measuring the cumulatively used amount of windings of the flat plate 1 are provided. In addition, the cumulative angle of windings and the cumulatively used amount of windings are measured at a specified point of time halfway through the windings, then a required target cumulative angle of windings until a target peripheral length is reached from the measurement value, is calculated, and the flat plate 1 and the corrugated plate 2 are cut and the winding is stopped, if the cumulative angle of windings reached the target cumulative angle of windings. Consequently, it is possible to further enhance the diameter accuracy of the obtained honeycomb form.
