PURPOSE: To obtain a laminate at a low cost by dissolving an epoxy resin, a phenolic compound, and an epoxy-curing agent of heat-curing type in an organic solvent; impregnating a fibrous substance with this solution, which is heated to give a semi-cured prepreg; and hot-pressing the prepreg.
CONSTITUTION: An epoxy resin (A) (e.g. a bisphenol A type epoxy resin), a phenolic compound (B) selected from among a dihydric phenols and bisphenols (e.g. bisphenol A) in an amount to give 0.3W0.8 phenolic hydroxyl group per epoxy group of component A, and an epoxy-curing agent of heat-curing type (C) (e.g. dicyandiamide) are dissolved uniformly in an organic solvent (e.g. toluene). A fibrous substance (e.g. a glass cloth) is impregnated with this solution, which is heated to give a semi-cured prepreg. A required number of the prepreg sheets are laid and hot-pressed to give an objective laminate.
