PURPOSE: To enable planned mass-production of lightly pickled vegetables at a low cost.
CONSTITUTION: Seeds 52 of a vegetable 53 suitable for light pickling are sowed in a culture vessel 10 partitioned into plural sections and enabling the transferring, transporting and stacking operations. The sowed seeds 52 are germinated and grown in a greenhouse 54 provided with a temperature controller 58 and a water-sprinkler 60 until the sprout is grown to a proper size, when the vegetable 53 is taken out of the greenhouse 54 together with the culture vessel 10. The vegetables 53 grown in one section are collectively taken out of the culture vessel 10 in an adjacent processing factory 56. The vegetables 53 taken out of the vessel 10 are optionally cut to remove the unnecessary part, sterilized, washed and sealed in a packaging container 62 together with a seasoning.
