Abstract:
To provide a preparation method of an acrylic ester and/or a methacrylic ester being reduced in the content of a side reaction product.
In the preparation method of an acrylic ester and/or a methacrylic ester by heating a reaction material containing (A) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, an acrylic ester having a β-hydroxy group, and a methacrylic ester having a β-hydroxy group and (B) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a compound having a hydroxy group and an ether bond, a compound having a glycidyl group and an ether bond, and a compound having an isocyanate group, the active oxygen concentration of the compound (B) is 40 mass ppm or lower.
