Abstract:
To provide a preparation method of a water-soluble polymer which has a little residue of an unreacted monomer in a course of the preparation of the polymer.
In the preparation method of the water-soluble polymer comprising polymerizing or copolymerzing at least one water-soluble monomer as a constituent monomer, the method is characterized by selecting a substance which generates a water-soluble acidic material as a polymerization initiator, using water or a water solution of a water-miscible solvent as the solvent and polymerizing the monomer in the presence of a salt.
