PURPOSE: To provide a film which has good feel, enough strength, and is adjustable of the balance between water resistance and moisture permeability by selecting the conditions of thermocompression bonding and the fiber diameter of fabric, etc., in the thermocompression bonding of the film of a specified elastomer composition and a cotton cloth or nonwoven fabric.
CONSTITUTION: A film 11 is prepared from the composition comprising 30-70wt.% of ethylene-propylene-diene copolymer rubber and 70-30wt.% of ethylene-vinylacetate copolymer which contains 5-30wt.% of vinylacetate unit and has a melt index of 0.2-25g/10min. by an air cooled inflation method. The film 11 and a cloth including gauze, other plain weave fabrics, and nonwoven fabrics prepared by a spun bond process, etc., are bonded by thermal compression between compression rollers 12, 13. Then, by stripping the cloth, the film 11 is made porous.
