Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prepare a peptide antibiotic K582M, in high productivity, by culturing a K582M-producing strain belonging to Metarhizium genus in a medium containing peptone and L-lysine.
CONSTITUTION: A K582M-producing strain belonging to Metarhizium genus [e.g. Metarhizium anisopliae (Metsch) Sorok. var. anisopliae 582M (FERM-P No.4217)] is inoculated in a medium containing 3.0wt% glucose, 0.05W0.5wt% peptone, 0.2wt% sodium nitrate, 0.1wt% monopotassium phosphate, 0.05wt% potassium chloride, 0.05wt% magnesium sulfate, 0.01% ferrous sulfate, 0.1W0.2wt% L- lysine and about 0.5wt% magnesium sulfate, and cultured at about 30°C for about 10 days. The objective peptide antibiotics K582M-A and K582M-B can be separated from the cultured liquid.
