Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prepare title compounds having inflammatory action and useful as intemediate for manufacturing pharmaceuticals and pesticides in more than 80% yield while depressing the formation of by-products low as possible by oxidizing phenylalkanealdehydes with peroxides in the presence of selenium compounds.
