Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a polyaminoborazine in high conversion which is homogeneous, converted to a ceramic material in a high wt. yield upon heat decomposition, and useful in fibers, films and the like by heat polycondensation of a trifunctional aminoborazine in an equilibrium state.
CONSTITUTION: A trifunctional aminoborazine pref. having a cyclic structure represented by formula (wherein R1, R2 and R3 each represent H, an alkyl or an aryl, and, pref., R1 and R2 each represent a satd. 1-4C alkyl with R3 representing H) is heat polycondensed in an equilibrium state pref. at 150 to 350°C, still pref. 200 to 250°C, to obtain the contemplated polyaminoborazine. In the polycondensation reaction, pref., the partial pressure of the resultant amine, e.g. when the partial pressure is enhanced, is regulated by raising the temp. to create equilibrium.
