PURPOSE: To obtain, at low cost, title molding material, excellent in storage stability and mold filling properties, and capable of producing high-strength molded products, by using a specified unsaturated polyester, a liquid crroslinking agent, reinforcing materials and a metal compound.

CONSTITUTION: (a) An unsaturated polyester capable of being solidified at normal temperatures with a liquid crroslinking agent, such as unsaturated polyesters obtained by using terephthalic acid or its derivatives as an unsaturated acid component and using ethylene glycol as a glycol component, (b) 5W30%, based on (a) component, of a liquid crroslinking agent such as styrene and methyl acrylate, (c) reinforcing materials and (d) 20W50% equivalent, per mol of the terminal carboxyl group of (a) component, of a metal compound having an at least bivalent metal element which are reactive with carboxyl groups, such as metal oxides or hydroxides, i.e. CaO, ZnO, Mg(OH)2, etc., are kneaded by means of a kneader, etc. to give title dry-type molding material.
