Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a polyethylene with short-chain branchings and long-chain branchings with excellent polymerization reactivity by incorporating an alpha,beta-diene when ethylene is polymerization by the low pressure polymerization process using a catalyst consisting of a specified coordinated nickel compd. and aminobis(imino)phosphorane. CONSTITUTION:When ethylene is polymerized in the presence of a catalyst consisting of a coordinated nickel compd. with a valence of nickel of 0 or 2 and an aminobis(imino)phosphorane of formula 1 (wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are the same or each different n-alkyl group, aryl group or trialkylsilyl group), the polymn. is performed by incorporating an alpha,beta-diene, pref. one having 5-20C branching (e.g. 1,4-pentadiene or 1,5-pentadiene). Although the amt. of the alpha,beta-diene to be used is not especially restricted, the effect of improving the activity can be exhibiting by using it in an amount at least equimolar to that of Ni.
