PURPOSE: To exceedingly enhance weatherability and heat resistance, by the addition of a small amount of N,N'-diphenyl-p-phenylenediamine, in the preparation of a polyurethane molded product from a polyol and an isocyanate.
CONSTITUTION: In the preparation of (C) a polyurethane molded product from (A) a polyol and (B) a isocyanate, (D) 0.01W5pts.wt., preferably 0.05W2pts.wt. N,N'- diphenyl-p-phenylenediamine are added for 100pts.wt. molded product (C). The component (A) is preferably a polyester polyol and/or a polyether polyol, of average MW 3,000W8,000, having at a least two OH groups per molecule, and the component (B) is preferably a polyisocyanate such as toluene diisocyanate or diphenylmethane diisocyanate. It is particularly practical to color the molded product with carbon black, etc.
