Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled composition having a narrow particle distribution of particle diameter, forming a coating film having improved smoothness, gloss, etc. in spraying as a powdered coating compound, by converting the resin composition into a porous solid by adding a blowing agent or by another process, followed by pulverizing.
CONSTITUTION: For example, a polyester resin, acrylic resin, etc. is blended with a blowing agent, e.g., ammonium carbonate, azodicarbonamide, etc., and, if necessary, a curing agent, pigment, etc. The blend is then expanded by heating, to give first a porous resin composition, which is pulverized by a grinder, etc. and sieved to give the desired powdered resin composition.
