To provide a preparation process of a high-molecular-weight polyamideamine-epichlorohydrin resin(PAE) concentrate, in which process, decomposed materials of an epichlorohydrin(EP) are not accumulated in the reacting system and it is possible to recycle polyamideamine resin (PA: an intermediate product) and PAE containing a low-molecular weight resin.
An aqueous mixture containing PAE having a Mw of not less than 3,000, PA of a Mw of not more than 30,000 and decomposed materials of EP is treated through following processes: (1) a permeated solution (a) main containing decomposed materials of EP and a concentrate mainly containing high-molecular weight PAE are obtained with an ultrafiltration membrane whose fractionation molecular weight is in a specific region; (2) a permeated solution (b) containing decomposed materials of EP and a concentrate (c) containing PA and PAE of which a high-molecular weight PAE fraction is removed are obtained by treating the permeated solution (a) with a nano- filtering membrane; and (3) the aimed aqueous mixture is obtained by reacting the concentrate (c) with a PA having a specific Mw and EP.
