PURPOSE: To obtain a rodenticidal food capable of increasing the palatability for rats remarkably due to no direct contact of the tongue with a rodenticide, by enclosing the rodenticide in pores of a porous food, and coating the surface of the porous food with a powdery food.

CONSTITUTION: A porous food, e.g. bread or dried bean curd, is cut to preferably the size of 1W2cm square, and mixed with a rodenticide. The resultant mixture is then subjected to reduced pressure to enclose the rodenticide in pores of the porous food, and the pressure is returned to normal pressure. A powdery food, e.g. wheat flour or corn starch, is then mixed with the mixture to give a porous food, containing the rodenticide, and coated with the powdery food.
