PURPOSE: To obtain SAKE having mellow fragrance of wood, packed in a cup, containing wood pieces stably in sunk state and keeping guaranteed quality over a long period, by treating wood pieces to be sunk in SAKE.

CONSTITUTION: Wood such as cedar, Japanese cypress and pine is worked in a prescribed form and treated to be sunk in SAKE by immersing SAKE or water, preferably in hot SAKE. The treated wood pieces are filled together with SAKE in a cup container.
