Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prepare a gel which can be applied to fire extinguishing and is useful as a means for feeding moisture in the utilization in agriculture by treating sodium polyacrylate with water at a specific temperature for a specific time in a specific proportion to the water.
CONSTITUTION: Sodium polyacrylate is treated with water at a temperature of 10-40°C for 1-300 sec in a proportion of 1-10 g per L of the water to prepare a sodium polyacrylate gel. The gel can be applied particularly to fire extinguishing and is useful for feeding moisture in the utilization in agriculture.
