PURPOSE: To manufacture unidirectional electrical steel sheet at a low price, by carrying out high temperature . short time secondary recrystallization annealing without carrying out decarbonization annealing of cold rolled sheet of unidirectional electrical steel sheet and on occasion demands, carrying out decarbonization annealing lastly.

CONSTITUTION: Silicon steel sheet containing about 0.03W0.04% of C, is manufactured by hot rolling. Thickness of the above sheet is made about 1.0mm by cold rolling. During the above process, decarbonization annealing is not carried out and on occasion demands, light preliminary decarbonization is carried out and then, continuous anealing aiming at the secondary recrystallization is carried out. The secondary recrystallization annealing is carried out at -60W20°C of dew point in H2+N2 atmosphere and maintaining at 950W1200°C for 2W5 minutes. Or, after the secondary recrystallization annealing is finished, decarbonization annealing is carried out by reheating in the temperature lowering process or after cooling to the normal temperature once.
