PURPOSE: To improve the operating efficiency of operations requiring relative movement of a warp yarn and a dropper pin without causing damage to the warp yarn or structural complication in a preparatory apparatus for looming of the type for supporting the warp yarn from a full warper beam in a state thereof previously threaded through the dropper pin, a heald and a reed.
CONSTITUTION: This preparatory apparatus for looming is obtained by temporarily supporting a contact bar 3 and dividing rods 5 on a carrier pedestal so as to provide a larger interval (L0) between the top of the contact bar 3 and the tops of the dividing rods 5 than that (L1) between the top of a contact bar inserting hole 11 of a dropper pin 1 and a warp yarn inserting hole 12. Thereby, the warp yarn inserting hole of the dropper pin is maintained at a higher level than that of the tops of the dividing rods. The relation is further kept even when the warp yarn is slackened. As a result, the frictional resistance between the warp yarn and the dropper pin is not increased without bending the warp yarn. That is, the relative movement of the warp yarn and the dropper pin is facilitated.
