Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for receiving a incoherent layered modulation signal for enabling to receive all the layers of a layered modulation signal.
SOLUTION: A system and a method for receiving the incoherent layered modulation signal is provided. An exemplary apparatus is provided with a synchronization device for receiving a layered signal and generating a layered in-phase signal and a layered quadrature phase signal from this; analog-digital converter for digitizing the layered in-phase signal and the layered quadrature phase signal; processor for decoding the layered in-phase signal and the layered quadrature phase signal to generate a single-layer in-phase signal and a single-layer quadrature phase signal; digital-analog encoder for converting the single-layer in-phase signal and the single-layer quadrature phase signal into a single-layer in-phase analog signal and a single-layer quadrature phase analog signal respectively; and modulator for modulating the single-layer in-phase analog signal and the single-layer quadrature phase analog signal, to generate a single-layer signal.
