A preserving device 2 includes a communication means 66. A writing means 87 writes an image file in a storage means 20 of an external device 1 while managing data at each predetermined unit. A notifying means 88 notifies write completion from the communication means 66 to the external device 1 when the data are written in the storage means 20 at each predetermined unit by the writing means 87 and the writing of the image file is completed.
