To provide a preserving and heating apparatus of a cooked and packaged food product body putting no restriction on time, places and users, and capable of obtaining a plurality of hot foods by simply and collectively heating a plurality of cooked and packaged food bodies in a short time only by pouring water.

The preserving and heating apparatus 1 includes a storage container 4 with its inner side forming a storage space 3, holding means 5 which is installed in the storage space, arranges, positions and holds a plurality of cooked and packaged rice bodies 2 and ensures a space d for allowing steam to pass between the adjacent the cooked and packaged rice bodies, and a heating body 7 which is arranged in a bottom space of the storage space, absorbs water when being wet with water and generates heat. When pouring water during the heated service condition, the heating body generates the heat to turn water into steam, the steam is brought into contact with the entire surface of the cooked and packaged food product body to heat the cooked and packaged rice bodies.
