Abstract:

To provide a pressed body which is hard to generate warps, cracks or chips in a sintered magnet.

This press comprises a die 120 having a plurality of cavities A and B, upper and lower punches for pressing rare earth magnet powder filled in each cavity in the direction of Z-axis, and a magnetic field generating device for applying the oriented magnetic field parallel to the direction of Y-axis into the cavities, and the rare earth magnet powder is pressed in the oriented magnetic field. A plurality of yoke members 123-126 formed of a ferromagnetic material are disposed between the plurality of cavities A and B and the magnetic field generating device, and the size LX measured along the direction of X-axis of the yoke members 123-126 is larger than the size LC measured along the direction of X-axis of the corresponding cavity. LX is preferably ≥115% and ≤130% of LC.
