To provide a press apparatus that can strike a balance between promotion of efficiency in the stage change operation of a die set and reduction in size and weight of the die set.
In the press apparatus, a die holder 7 includes: a lower frame 8; an upper frame 9; and a plurality of posts 10 interposed between the lower frame 8 and the upper frame 9 to couple the lower frame 8 to the upper frame 9, thereby considerably reducing the weight thereof. Fixing bolts 13 are fastened to a lower plate 2 by allowing fixing bolts to be inserted into bolt insertion holes 13 among posts 10 from an upper surface 8a side of the lower frame 8, thereby omitting a turning-over operation of the lower plate 2 and considerably reducing man-hours for the stage change operation.
