Abstract:
PURPOSE: To satisfactorily perform vertical bending, which has heretofore been impossible to do stably, by surely performing the support of a panel W.
CONSTITUTION: In a press apparatus, at the time of bending the end part of a panel W, after the end part is vertically bent from the set position of the panel W, a shift bend is successively performed until a prescribed angle is obtained. Lock mechanisms 25, 12y, 14a are provided between a rotary cam 14 and a lower die 12 to lock a rotary cam 14 against a lower die 12 before the panel W is vertically bent by a hanging cam 18. Consequently, the rotary cam 14 is prevented from shifting against the lower die 12 by the operation of the lock mechanisms 25, 12y, 14a, even if a large downward impact is exerted on the end face 14t of the rotary cam 14 supporting the panel W from below, on account of the collision of the hanging cam 18 with the end of the panel W. In other words, the end face 14t of the rotary cam 14 does not come below the supporting face of the lower die 12, and therefore, the panel W is satisfactorily held in a state as originally supported.
