Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insulate both ends of a connector electrically and securely by covering the circumference of an insulating elastomer, along its lengthwise direction, with an insulating rubber sheet in a cross-sectionally U-shaped form, placing conductive thin wires, in parallel with one another at equal intervals in the width direction, on the periphery of the sheet, so that insulating ends are provided at both the ends.
SOLUTION: Insulating ends 5, 5 at each of which an insulating rubber sheet 2 and an insulating elastomer 4 are exposed are formed at both ends of a connector 1. Since conductive thin wires 3 are not arranged on the insulating ends 5, 5, conductive burrs are not produced at both the ends of the connector, so that the insulated state is constantly maintained. If the dimension of the insulating ends 5, 5 is in the range of 0.2-0.3 mm, it will not make the size of the connector 1 larger than desired nor affect the design of a circuit to be connected. Additionally, it prevents such a problem during connection work that burrs are produced by the separation of the conductive thin wires 3, or an insulation defect or a short circuit thereby occurs.
