Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of displacement of a thread by nicely pressing the substances to be cut on both sides during a cutting work by means of a cutter.
CONSTITUTION: In a cutting device wherein a knife 28 is relatively moved in a given feed direction in relation to cloth 14, a device to press the cloth 14 during cutting is provided. A bracket 34 elevated in relation to the knife 28 is energized downward through the force of a compression spring 40, and right and left press rollers 48 are rotatably mounted on the bracket 34. The directions of the rotary central axes 49 of both press rollers 48 are set so that the press rollers 48 may roll over the parts, of the cloth 14 situated in the vicinity of both sides of the knife 28.
