Abstract:
To provide a press device which can realize downsizing while achieving a reduction in manufacturing costs.SOLUTION: A press device of the invention includes: a frame 1; an air cylinder 3 serving as a driving device; a press ram 7; a cam 9; and guide means 11. The cam 9 is formed with a guide surface 92 and an engagement part 9b. The guide surface 92 forms a part of an outer peripheral surface 9a. A rod 27c is engaged with the engagement part 9b. The guide surface 92 comprises a first area 92a and a second area 92b. The first area 92a allows the press ram 7 to be located at an initial position. The second area 92b causes the press ram 7 to be moved from the initial position to a terminal position. The press device further includes a compression coil spring 13 serving as a biasing member which biases the press ram 7 toward the initial position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
