To provide a press die configured to reduce the warpage generated in a plane part continuous with a boss in the case the boss is molded by burring, a burring process using the press die, a casting method using the press die, and press-formed articles.

The burring process comprises forming the boss 11 in a metallic sheet 10 using the press die 1 consisting of a die 2 formed with a burring hole 2a, a burring punch 4 formed to a shape insertable into the burring hole 2a, in which the clearance S between the burring hole 2a and the burring punch 4 is configured to be within ≥60 and ≤115%, more preferably ≥65 to ≤100%, further preferably ≥75 to ≤95% of the member thickness t prior to processing of the metallic sheet 10.
