To provide an easy-to-handle press die which prevents disconnection of the wiring part of a sensor for detection of residuals, and which does not necessitate the removal of the sensor and/or the wiring part, in the time of the maintenance of the mold or the like, and a press machine using the mold.

The press machine is equipped with a guide lifter device 40 which has a guide rail assembly 41 for the sending guide of a material 30 for processing and a lifter 42 for lifting, and a means for detection which has sensors 51, 52 to detect the existence of residuals on a die through the whole processing process when the material 30 is transported. The sensors 51, 52 and the wiring parts 53, 54 connected with the sensors are built in the guide rail assembly 41.
