Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform sizing press on a material having high deformation resistance while reducing a load on a mechanism supporting a press die.SOLUTION: A press die 1 according to the present invention is a press die included in a sizing press machine pressing a cast piece transferred in a longitudinal direction up to a predetermined width by intermittently pressing two sides of the cast piece in a width direction. The press die comprises: a pressing tapered portion 11 inclined in the width direction from an inlet from which the cast piece is introduced to an outlet; and a pressing parallel portion 10 provided continuously to the outlet of the pressing tapered portion 11 and parallel to a transfer direction of the cast piece. The pressing tapered portion 11 includes multiple-step tapered surfaces 13 having different inclination angles, the inclination angles of the respective tapered surfaces 13 are set gradually greater in order from the pressing parallel portion 10 toward the inlet, and the inclination angle of the tapered surface 13 located closest to the inlet is set to 20 to 35°.
