To provide a press-fitting member which can be easily inserted into a pipe material and be easily and reliably pressed into the pipe material with low pressure, and a pipe product with the press-fitting member press-fitted therein.
A flange section 3 of the pipe material 1 has a double-stepped structure formed at its circumferential edge, which comprises a base end chamfered portion 4 whose ratio w/h of its chamfer width "w" to its chamfer height "h" is 0.3 or less where the chamfer width "w" is 0.15 mm or more and a distal end chamfered portion 5 greater in chamfer angle than the base end chamfered portion 4. This appropriately mitigates the degree of steepness of a bent part 6 of the base end chamfered portion 4 to allow the press-fitting member 2 to be easily and reliably press-fitted into the pipe material 1 with low pressure, and helps the chamfered portion 5 to effectively serve as an insertion guide to facilitate the insertion of the front end of the press-fitting member 2 into the pipe material 1.
