PURPOSE: To reduce man-hours required to perform the height adjustment of a pad block to prevent a wrinkle from occurring and to easily perform the height adjustment in a short time in press forming having a deep drawing process.

CONSTITUTION: The pad block 5 which is always pushed upward by a movable device 3 such as a cylinder, etc., and loadable/unloadable on the movable device 3 is provided ascendably/descendably at the deepest part 1a of a lower die 1 being the deep drawing part of a work, and a relief block 7 provided with a recessed part 7a in which the pad block 5 is fitted is provided at the tip part 6a of an upper die being the deep drawing part of the work.
