PURPOSE: To make it possible to press-in and pull-out a shaft-end fitting member by giving proper pushing pressure through a simple method.

CONSTITUTION: This press-in and pull-out devices for a shaft-end fitting member is for pressing a boss part 2 of a propeller into a tapered portion 12 as for a construction made by forming the tapered portion 12 on the end of a shaft 1 and a screw part 11 on the tapered portion 12. These devices are provided with a fixed means 3 screwed on the screw part 11, a ring shaped hydraulic cylinder 4 fitted on the outer circumference of the fixed means 3, a ring shaped pressing member 5 which is interposed between the hydraulic cylinder 4 and the boss part 2 for transmitting the actuation force of the hydraulic cylinder 4 to the boss part 2, and a manual pump 45 which becomes a driving means of the hydraulic cylinder 4.
