To attain lightening of a weight, and reduction of a manufacturing cost of a press molded product.
A press molding process includes a step of obtaining the press molded product from a blank 100 having a throughhole 118 to suppress flow of a material. The press molded product has a partially thickened wall portion arranged at a local position. The blank 100 has an expected wall thickening portion 112 corresponding to the partially thickened wall portion. The throughhole 118 is arranged at an edge of the expected wall thickening portion 112. In the press molding process, the partially thickened wall portion of the press molded product is formed by pushing a part 114 of the blank 100 to generate the flow of the material which causes an increase in a cross-sectional thickness. The flow of the material from the expected wall thickening portion 112 to a peripheral portion 116 of the expected wall thickening portion 112 is suppressed by the throughhole 118.
