PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition copable of press molding by low molding pressure and obtaining a molded article with excellent appearance, dispersability of fiber or the like by compounding a metal compound type thickener, finely divided inorganic matter, glass beads and fibrous substance to an unsaturated polyester resin.

CONSTITUTION: To obtain an objective press-molding composition by mixing (a) 100pts.wt. of an unsaturated polyester resin based on styrene monomer or the like, (b) 0.5W5pts.wt. of a metal compound type thickener such as magnesium oxide, magnesium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide or the like, (c) 30W150pts.wt. of finely divided inorganic matter such as calsium carbonate, alumina, talc, mica or the like with an average particle size of 5W10μ, (d) 10W50pts.wt. of glass beads, preferably hollow glass beads with an average particle size of 20W60μ and (e) 10W 50wt% of composition of fibrous substance such as glass fiber, carbon fiber, asbesto fiber or the like.
