To provide a press apparatus capable of supporting a press panel from a lower side without using any suction when fitting the press panel to a press die.

The press apparatus has an advancing/retracting arm 61 which is movable with a press panel W being loaded thereon when pressing the press panel W between an upper die 2 and a lower die 3, and advancible/retractable to/from the press apparatus 1 with the press panel W being loaded thereon. A pair of turning shafts 63 are provided opposite to each other on the advancing/retracting arm 61 on a pair of end widths of a press die 1a. Supporting claws 64 for supporting the press panel W are fixed to each turning shaft 63 opposite to each other so as to support the press panel W by upper parts of the supporting claws 64. When the turning shafts 63 are turned, the supporting claws 64 are turned in a separating direction from each other to release the support of the press panel W. Thus, the press panel W can be loaded on the upper die 2 or the lower die 3, and collected.
