To reduce prepress capability and to decrease the time required for mounting a press plate on a plate cylinder of a newspaper press by disposing a plurality of tearing positions on a plate body, and specifying a record of a substrate having a print image at the position.

Each lithographic press plate 10 has a plate body 12, which is made of an aluminum plate or the like coated with a photosensitive layer. The each plate 10 has predetermined tearing positions 14a to 14c, which are formed in the body 12 to specify recording parts of substrates 10A to 10D. The substrates 10A to 10D have print images A to D of newspaper pages printed by using a lithographic newspaper printer. The positions 14a to 14c may be extended from a front edge 16a to a trailing edge of the plate 10. Further, the edges 16a, 16b may have bents 18a, 18b. The position 14a to 14c may be formed with continuities of openings and bridges.
