Abstract:
To provide a press processing method and a press die which can press an edge into a desired shape.SOLUTION: A press processing method according to the present disclosure, which processes a blank material into a press-processed product, includes: a step of processing a plate-like blank material into an intermediate processed product which has a bottom part, a side wall and a connection part between the bottom part and the side wall and which is larger in height of a side wall than the press-processed product, with a drawing die; and a step of processing the intermediate processed product into the press-processed product in a predetermined shape, by compressing the side wall of the intermediate processed product in a height direction to flow a material of the side wall to the connection part and then forming the connection part of the intermediate processed product into a predetermined edge shape, using an edge press die which comprises an edge press punch, an edge press die, an edge press pad and an end face support for supporting an end face of the side wall of the intermediate processed product, with the edge press punch, the edge press die, the edge press pad and the end face support surrounding the intermediate processed product.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
