Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press rolling method of a steel pipe which can manufacture the steel pipe with excellent surface quality, of which surface roughness is small with sufficient thin scale.
SOLUTION: In this press rolling method of the steel pipe, the steel pipe is continuously passed through a press rolling equipment 10 which has a plural number of stands 4 composed of the multiple holey rolls 3 placed circumferentially and arranged in tandem. A steel pipe 1 before the press rolling is heated at temperature under 800°C, and the finishing temperature of press rolling is set as 500-700°C. A lubricant 6 is applied to at least a last pass 2 and/or at least the stand of a start pass 2.
