To wastelessly cut an unfilled space generated by routine sheet cutting by hangingly providing a press head mounted with a cutting die for sheet cutting and performing press operation and right and left movement over a moving table loading a sheet material to be cut and movable front and rear, and changing over an automatic operation and a manual operation.

A moving table 30 moving front and rear is provided on a base 20, a press head 24 is hangingly provided on a crossbeam 22 through a supporting part 23, and a cutting die G for sheet cutting is mounted on the lower end part of the press head 24. The press head 24 is made possible to reciprocate right and left along the rail 26 in the lengthwise direction of the crossbeam 22, and a ball nut 28 is threadedly engaged with a ball screw 27 driven by a servo motor 29 so as to constitute a horizontal moving mechanism. The press head 24 is vertically operated by a hydraulic cylinder 23c internally provided in the supporting part 23, and cloth on the moving table 30 is press-cut by the cutting die G for sheet cutting. This press sheet cutter can be changed over automatic operation following to a program and manual operation.
