Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press using a toggle mechanism in which a position at the bottom dead point or at the top dead point is unchanged even if a slide stroke quantity is varied.
SOLUTION: With the toggle mechanism in vertically moving a slide 16, the mechanism are provided with a connecting rod 13 one end of freely rotatably connected to the eccentric part 2a of a crank shaft 2, an oscillating lever 12 connected at one end to the frame in a rockable manner and freely rotatably connected in the middle in the longitudinal direction with the other end of the connecting rod, and an intermediate lever 24 which connects between the other end of the oscillating lever and the link part of the toggle mechanism. The eccentric quantity of the crank is made adjustable to a length between the points of application of the connecting rod in accordance with the dead points; also, the connecting point of the connecting rod with the oscillating lever is made a point on the arc around the center of the crank shaft when the slide is at the dead point position; and, by changing the position of this connecting point, the position at the top dead point or at the bottom dead point is unchanged even if the slide stroke is varied.
