PURPOSE: To attain a smooth paper feed by increasing a distance, from a rotary shaft of a working lever to a point of crossing with a spring at a right angle, in accordance with turning the other end of the working lever from the downward to the upward, so that gradually increasing pressing force of a pressing member can be efficiently realized.

CONSTITUTION: To paper 1 in a receiving part 2, in addition to its own weight, a load by a pressing member 6 is applied. A distance from a rotary shaft 14 of a working lever 15 to a cross point of crossing at a right angle with a tension spring 19 is formed so as to increase in accordance with turning upward a distance when a flexing piece 15a of the working lever 15 is faced to the lowest direction. Consequently, also moment acting relating to the flexing piece 15a is increased in accordance with turning upward the flexing piece 15a and increased in accordance with turning downward the opposite end of the working lever 15. Accordingly, also pressing down force of the pressing member 6 by the working lever 15 is increased in accordance with decreasing a residual amount of the paper 1 in the receiving part 2 by actuating a paper feeder. Thus, proper pressing force is always applied to the paper, and a smooth paper feed can be performed.
