The lower end face of a spot facing punch 17 is pressed against the circumference of the upper edge of the prepared hole 3 of the work 1 to be worked. In this way, a ring-like recessed plane 13 and a ring-like tapered face 15 on the circumference of which are formed on the upper face of the material 1 to be worked. The escaping hole 21 is opened on a spot facing die 19 and the excess metal in the upper part of the crashed material 1 to be worked by spot facing is protruded in the escape hole 21. The hole 25 of the product is punched with a punch 27 and the hole 25 of the product having normal dimensions is obtained.
