Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reliably prevent the occurrence of an acceleration shock by providing a cylinder reduction control means which is so constituted as to decide whether an actual fuel pressure is higher than a target fuel pressure by a given value or more during acceleration of a diesel engine and prohibit injection of fuel from the arbitrary fuel injection valve of all fuel injection valves when it is higher by the given value or more.
CONSTITUTION: An ECU 6 inputs output signals from a rotation speed sensor 7 and an accelerator sensor 8 and calculates a target fuel pressure (a target common rail pressure PS) to realize a fuel injection pressure by which the combustion state of an engine 2 is rendered proper according to an operation state and controls drive of a fuel feed pump 5 according to a deviation with an actual fuel pressure detected by a common rail pressure sensor 9. High pressure fuel in a common rail 4 is injected in each cylinder through each injector 3. In this case, during acceleration of an engine, at an operation time at which an actual fuel pressure is higher than a target fuel pressure by a given value or more, injection of fuel through the arbitrary injector 3 is prohibited to suppress the generation of an acceleration shock.
