PURPOSE: To constitute a pressure boosting type pneumatic cylinder smaller than the conventional one by eliminating any large projecting part outside the cylinder, and to generate high thrust near the extruding terminal.
CONSTITUTION: A first piston 5 is slidably fitted and inserted into a first cylinder chamber 3, and a first piston rod 6 is projectingly provided on a second cylinder chamber 11 so as to penetrate a first rod cover 4. A cylindrical part 12 is provided in the axis position of a second rod cover 10 so as to project into a third cylinder chamber 15, and a second piston 16 is slidably fitted and inserted around the cylindrical part 12. A piston rod 17 is connected to the second piston 16 through an outer cylindrical part 17a and slidably supported so as to project outward from the third rod cover 14, and oil is housed in one part in the second cylinder chamber 11 and in the outer cylindrical part 17a, and the tip of the first piston rod 6 is slidably fitted into the cylindrical part 12.
