To suppress degradation with the passage time of a dielectric element 10, in a pressure change detecting apparatus that uses the dielectric element 10.
A pressure-change detecting apparatus includes the dielectric element 10 constituting a sensing part; a container 21, which has a detection chamber 20 inside and houses the dielectric element 10 in the detection chamber 20; and a conductor 12, which is electrically connected to the dielectric element 10 and is drawn to the outside of the container 21. The detection chamber 20 is hermetically sealed by the container 21, and at least a part of the container 21 is constituted of a diaphragm 23a, which changes the volume of the detection chamber 20 by undergoing displacement due to the variations in the pressure of outside air, and the apparatus allows the dielectric element 10 to output an electric signal, in response to a change in the pressure or temperature of the gas in the detection chamber 20, which changes with a change in the volume of the detection chamber 20.
