To heighten the prevention rate of damaged core wire-insulating bodies of metal communication cables and the rate of passing a pull test at the time of delivery of the cables and provide a pressure film tape for communication cables having functions of preventing damages to the cores and loss of transmitting characteristic.
This pressure tape is constituted of a synthetic resin film 1 made of polyester, nylon, or polypropylene and a slippage preventive layer 3 formed on one side of both sides of the film 1. The slippage preventive layer 3 is made of natural rubber, synthetic rubber, or a synthetic resin composition having 0.50 or more static friction coefficient to aluminum or polyethylene. An anchor coating layer 2 may be formed between the synthetic resin film 1 and the slippage preventive layer 3.
