Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive and efficient method as a floatation method of the white water generated in a papermaking company, and to furnish a chemical optimum for the method.
CONSTITUTION: A pressure floating agent consisting of the acrylic polymer contg. ≥5mol% acryloyloxyethyldimethylbenzylammonium salt structural unit is added to the waste water and pressurized water. The intrinsic viscosity of the acrylic polymer is ≥5dl/g in an aq. soln. of ≥2wt.% ammonium sulfate. The ratio of the added pressure floating agent to the waste water and pressurized water is controlled to 1:10 to 10:1.
